Bahahaha: 52.9% of CU Times poll respondents don’t know what they’re talking about
8 Apr
Current results on CU Times’ latest web poll:
“The United States will be check-free by:
- 2015 (12.1%),
- 2020 (19.7%),
- 2030 (15.3%),
- Never, there will always be checks. (52.9%)”
I dunno, Trey. The world is flat after all.
When were checks invented? Knowing that would help one make a better guess at when they will die out. Maybe they will continue to exist in some other form… like those Kryptonian criminals did in the Phantom Zone.
I missed that poll – maybe a bunch of laid-off check printers stuffed the online ballot box!
Maybe we’ll see some CUs and banks phase out the phrase “Checking Account”. Just call it a “Transaction Account”, given that checkwriting volume is steadily dropping.
